Emily & Mauricio \\ Montrose Harbor Engagement Session

Thursday, May 24th, 2012

We had such a perfectly beautiful day at Montrose Harbor with Emily & Mauricio. I love this location and these two fit in there perfectly! Aren’t they cute? I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this fall!

Joanna & Erick // Wicker Park // Culinary Inspired Engagement Session

Thursday, May 17th, 2012

It’s not that often that I get to benefit from the culinary skills of a couple on an engagement session, but this was my lucky day! Joanna & Erick love to spend time together cooking, so they felt it was fitting to do just that for their engagement session. It was really a treat not only to eat some killer fish tacos, but to get the chance to just sit and chat with these two for a bit. After dinner we made it outside to catch a little bit of the awesome light and surrounding around Wicker Park before the sunset. I’m really looking forward to Joanna & Erick’s wedding next month!

Christina & John // Lincoln Park Lily Pond Engagement Session

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

I’ve been intending to post this session from last fall for a bit now. It was a particularly fun one for me as I used to work with both Christina & John. It was great not only to catch up, but to get to see and capture a match that I got to witness from the beginning. We hit some really awesome light over in Lincoln Park before heading downtown for a bit. Christina and John are getting married at a vineyard in California so they thought it would be fitting to get a few wine photos in there as well.

Melissa & Jon // Evanston Engagement Session

Friday, May 11th, 2012

It’s hard to imagine from looking at these photos just hold cold it was when we shot this session. Melissa and Jon were such troopers to bare the chilly lake front air. And somehow in between shivers they managed to still look this good! I think it’s a testament to just how in love they are! I’m so glad I got the chance to spend a few hours with them and capture that love.

Barton Family // Wilmette Family Photography

Wednesday, May 9th, 2012

Susan contacted me about doing a session with her and her boys as a gift for her husband for Father’s Day. What a great idea! Wish I had thought of it myself. Susan is the sister of a dear friend of mine from high school, Kathy, but we had actually never met before this day. It was so fun to get to meet her and get to know her and her sons a little. I love this session because you can really get a feel for the personalities of each of them and get a glimpse into their family dynamic. I am so excited to do a session with the whole family in the future!
